Welcome to the Catron County Fire Departments' Web Site.

This site hopes to better facilitate the training and working relationships among all of the various fire departments and emergency management organizations within Catron County and the State of New Mexico.

Its purpose is to provide the Chiefs and members of all departments with information to enhance their professionalism and capabilities to protect citizens from the devastation of fire, environmental, natural, and technological emergencies.

We hope this site gives our Catron County citizens insight into what their fire departments are all about and the services we provide.

This web site is available to all Catron County Fire Members and visitors.

Wildland courses and refreshers are posted on the 2014 calendar. All rookie firefighters are required 4 day course. All other firefighters are required to take the RT-130 refresher annually. More courses and times will be posted as they become available.

Catron County Volunteer Fire & EMS Departments are in desperate need of volunteers!

" A Volunteer Fire/EMS department is only as good as its' community is willing to support."

If you have time to make a commitment to your community, please request an application package for either "Fire Operations", "Jr. Firefighter",  or "Fire Corps" by emailing anella.russo@catroncountynm.gov or calling (575) 533-6498.  Please provide you name and mailing information.

"Operations" members provide various stages of firefighting functions.

"Jr./Youth" members - ages 14-18, provide support and learn about the Fire Service

"Fire Corps" members provide administration, auxiliary, or support functions.

We are asking you to answer our call!
